Jim joined Sign Design, Inc. in 2004 as production and fabrication manager to ensure efficient delivery of quality products. Jim has been in the sign industry for over 25 years in varying capacities: fabrication, installation, production and project management. Jim began his sign career with ten years at a major New England sign company and then became a production manager for NeoSource a high-end lighting company in Denver CO. Jim then moved on to Design Communications, LTD of Boston, where he spent seven years as a lead fabricator and production manager. He is currently our Production Manager and an integral part of the Sign Design team.
What do you love most about Sign Design/ Employee Ownership?
I like having a direct impact on the bottom line by thinking like an owner and look forward to my future benefits when I retire.
What made you want to work at Sign Design? What makes you stay?
Sign Design was a life change from my previous job. The company understands that there are things that happen besides work and as long as you do your job, we try to accommodate. I stay because I feel respected and appreciated.
Where have you worked prior to Sign Design?
I have worked at Design Communications, NEO Source, and ALCO Sign.
What other roles have you had at Sign Design?
I have been the fabrication manager as well as a janitor, spider killer, and therapist.
Describe a hobby or pastime that you have.
I like traveling.
