What do you love most about Sign Design/Employee Ownership?

Employee ownership is crucial to Sign Design’s culture. The company has always put employees first, but the transition to employee ownership really reinforced this, passing on the success of the business to us as workers.

What made you want to work at Sign Design? What makes you stay?

I worked at Sign Design on the production side in high school and was eager to return in an admin/office role and learn this side of things. I began in a temporary capacity, but stayed on because of the incredible support, training and team-based dynamic here.

Where have you worked prior to Sign Design?

I was previously an EMT and had many roles in emergency medicine including running on the ambulance in Burlington, VT, working in the emergency department, and doing clinical research in emergency medicine.

What other roles have you had at Sign Design?

I’ve worked in just about every production department at Sign Design - Graphics, Finishing, Install, Fabrication - and was the janitor for one summer. My first role at Sign Design was interning with my aunt Gwen doing pricing and estimates back in 2011.

Describe a hobby or pastime that you have.

When I’m not paying the bills, you’ll find me on my bike. I’ve taken many bike-packing trips around the US and Scotland and have my eyes set on the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route in the American West and the Northcoast 500 in Scotland in the near future.
